We love welcoming groups during the summer and there’s lots to do!  Entry is free and we have space for you to eat a packed lunch while you’re on site as well as a café if you want to buy food. Don’t miss our free Myth Quest: Monsters and Mortals exhibition which is running throughout the summer holidays.

Take part in our interactive fantasy adventure around the Museum and become a true hero!

Explore the universe in our planetarium! Individual charges are listed here but we can also offer group rates starting from £37 for a group of up to 30. If you would like to make a group booking, please contact the Learning Team:

Moss Troopers Myth Maker Days
Free, Wednesdays during the summer holidays

The Moss Troopers are a roving trio of storytellers, historians, educators, entertainers and fools. For the summer holidays the Moss Troopers will bring elements of our Myth Quest: Monsters and Mortals exhibition to life for all visitors!

Gallery Spinners Challenge
Free, permanent, available daily

Take the Gallery Spinner Challenge! Six spinners are spread around the Museum and will set you challenges. You can use them to help you explore, or you can compete to see who can get the highest score – why not download this score sheet to use with your group? Download the Gallery Spinner Challenge score sheet here (PDF 795 KB)

Mouse House
Free, permanent, available daily through the summer holidays (some closures for group use during term time – please click here for detail
The Mouse House is our dedicated under 5s space and provides a launch pad out into the rest of the Museum. 

Gallery Craft and Colouring
Free, available daily through the summer holidays 

There will be tables for craft and colouring in the Living Planet gallery every day through the summer holidays, linked to a trail around the Museum.  More details to come before the summer!
