Why visit the Great North Museum: Hancock with a secondary school group?

Bringing secondary school groups to The Great North Museum: Hancock is a great opportunity to build cultural capital, extend your curriculum and showcase different career options. Our collections link particularly to History and Science, but also provide a rich environment for observational drawing for Art and Design. We are keen to work with you on a visit that suits: from an enrichment day for all of Year 7, to a sixth-form workshop debating a complex question like whether we should display mummified people.
