Workshop Summary

In this workshop students will get to investigate an assemblage of Stone Age and Bronze Age artefacts. They will be asked to identify the objects, discuss what they think they would have been used for and who might have owned them. The workshop can then be followed up with a teacher led visit to the Ice Age to Iron Age gallery.

The main learning objectives for this workshop are:

  • To learn about the key changes in the Stone Age and the Bronze Age
  • To identify objects from the Stone Age and the Bronze Age

This workshop supports the National Curriculum in England History Programmes of Study for KS2: changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age
