Dippy book giveaway

Dippy the Dinosaur is at the Great North Museum: Hancock until 6 October 2019. To celebrate we have five Dippy books (48pp, RRP £6.99) to give away.

All you need to do to have a chance to win a book is to LIKE or LOVE this Facebook post. Please feel free to share with friends so that they can enter too.

Entries close at 11pm on 18 August. Winners will be contacted by message on 19 August. Full terms and conditions below.

1. The Promoter of this prize draw is the Great North Museum: Hancock, Barras Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 4PT.
2. The prize draw is open to all UK residents (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or over except employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.
3. This prize draw is free to enter but internet access and your own genuine personal Facebook account are required.

5. Strictly only one entry per person is permitted and multiple entries and/or anyone found to use multiple accounts and/or fake accounts to enter will be disqualified.  The Promoter shall also have the right to disqualify any entrants that are in breach of Facebook’s Terms of Service (https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms).
6. The opening date for entries is 10am on Friday 2 August 2019. The closing date of the prize draw is 11pm on Sunday 18 August 2019. Entries received outside of this timeframe will not be valid.
7. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
8. Five (5) winners will be randomly selected by a computer process on Monday 19 August 2019 (the “Draw Date”).
9. Each winner will receive the prize of: One (1) copy of the book “Dippy: the tale of a museum icon by Paul Barrett, Polly Parry & Sandra Chapman”.
10. Any costs incidental to the fulfilment of the prize other than the delivery of such by post are the responsibility of the winners.
11. Each winner will be notified on the Draw Date by way of private message via the Facebook account they used to enter. If a winner does not claim their prize before midnight on Wednesday 21 August 2019 then the prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
12. The prizes will be sent to each winner by post within five (5) days of the Promoter receiving that winner’s postal address. Each winner is responsible for providing their correct postal address and the Promoter will not accept responsibility for any lost prizes and replacements cannot be sent.
13. The prizes for the winners are non-exchangeable, non-negotiable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prizes with alternative prizes of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
15. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of this prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
16. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
18. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
19. Personal data provided by you in entering this prize draw will be processed by the Promoter for the purpose of administering this prize draw. Entry to this prize draw will be deemed as your consent to this processing. If you do not wish your personal data to be processed in this way, please do not enter this prize draw.
20. Personal data supplied during the course of this prize draw may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize. If you do not wish your personal data to be processed in this way, please do not enter this prize draw.
21. This prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with Facebook and entrants hereby acknowledge and agree that Facebook has no liability whatsoever in respect of these terms and conditions nor the prize draw to which they relate.
22. The prize draw shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction.
