Explore what colour is and how it is found in the natural world. Students will join in a workshop where they create rainbows and investigate colours through rock and mineral samples before thinking about why animals are different colours. The workshop is complemented by a visit to our Living Planet and Natural Northumbria Galleries for further exploration of animals’ use of colour for display, warning and camouflage in different habitats, using our interactive ‘Habitat Bags’.
