The Great North Mouse has lost his name!

Can you help him find it?

The Great North Mouse has lost his name and we need you to take part in our competition and help him find it.

Each week during the school summer holidays we are releasing a new letter to reveal the name of our resident mouse.

For your chance to win a puppet, follow the steps below:

  • Find something in the museum beginning with the letter of the week - this week's letter is 'Y'
  • Grab a special piece of paper from the welcome desk and draw a picture of what you found
  • You could also take a selfie with what you found, or do both!
  • If you have drawn a picture, fill out your contact details and post your drawing in the box at the welcome desk
  • Or - post your drawings and photographs to our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages.

Week 6: Letter 'Y'

This week's letter – our final one – is 'Y'

Well done everyone, you've helped us find the Great North Mouse's name. It's Albany, after Albany Hancock. He played a big part in the creation of our museum along with his brother John. They lived in Victorian times.

But, for your final chance to win a puppet, what can you find in the museum that begins with the letter 'Y'?
