FULLY BOOKED An in person workshop for home educated families.
Monday 18 November
In person workshop
FREE
1.15pm - 2.45pm
This session is aimed at young people 7 to 12 years of age.
Tickets will be available to book from August 12th.
We will get in touch in advance of the session and ask families to confirm their attendance. This is to ensure that we are able to fill any spaces with families from the waiting lists.
Show off our stereomicroscope, look at how different the world appears when we just zoom in; show kids how to build their own mini-microscope out of Lego, cling film, and a drop of water; hand out small silicone lenses that turn any smart phone into a mini-microscope temporarily, and play a fun game of "guess the object", where the kids/parents will have to guess what object is under the microscope based on a really zoomed-in image.
This session will be delivered by Cell Detectives, who are a group of engagers from Newcastle University.
