About

Join Georgina and Albany the Great North Mouse for ‘Messy Mice’ On Friday 24 May at 1.30-2:30pm.

Our Messy Mice sessions are designed for children under 5, and are the perfect place for your little one to socialise with new people and make friends, whilst exploring our Museum collections though messy play.

The sessions will begin with songs, followed by free time to explore some messy activities within the space and an opportunity to have a closer look at some of our museum handling collections! You may wish to dress in old clothing and bring a change of clothes and towel with you.

Washable paint paint will be used during the session but sometimes we may use other food based or natural materials to incorporate into out play. Please do let us know of any known allergies or intolerances in advance of the session so that we can adapt the session to suit your needs.

Our current theme  is called 'under the Sea'.

Please arrive at the main entrance of the museum where the welcome desk can direct you to the location of the session.

Sessions will usually take place in the Clore Learning Suite (Clore 2), but occasionally sessions may move to different location within the museum.

If you book but discover you are no longer able to attend please contact Georgina at georgina.scott@twmuseums.org.uk so that we can offer the space on that date to another family.

If you can, please consider purchasing a donation ticket or leaving a donation when you book today. We rely on the generosity of our visitors to help us keep art and heritage at the heart of the North East. Thank you.
