About
Please note that this exhibition is at Belsay Hall.
Reimagining Ancient Greece is a collaboration between Newcastle University and the Great North Museum: Hancock, working in partnership with English Heritage and Belsay School.
Great North Museum: Hancock keeper of archaeology Andrew Parkin and Newcastle University's Dr Sally Waite have been working with Belsay School to develop a curriculum on Ancient Greece for 7-9 year olds.
The pupils have produced artworks inspired by objects from the Shefton Collection of Greek archaeology, which is housed at the Great North Museum: Hancock.
The exhibition is a chance to see the children's art alongside the ancient artefacts in the Greek Revival setting of Belsay Hall.
