Forget the Oscars – this is the awards ceremony that counts. Join us for this free, fun and informal event.

You can see the 140 best entries of the North East Wildlife Photography Competition 2017 and watch as the winners are announced (it’s a secret so no-one knows if they have won until announced).

You will also have a special preview of the exhibition and can meet wildlife photographers and naturalists.

Guest speaker is broadcaster, writer and tour leader David Lindo - AKA The Urban Birder. His mission is to engage city folk around the world with the plentiful urban nature that surrounds them. He is a regular television and radio presenter and has been featured on the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 in the UK as well as other TV channels around the world including CBS in the United States.

Everyone welcome. Refreshments available.
