Workshop Summary

Using the museums Shefton collection and a scale model of a Greek temple the students will take part in a series of practical activities to find out what we can learn from Greek art and architecture thousands of years after their creation and if their civilisation has left any impact on today's culture. The workshop will include looking at the design of Greek temples, assembling a broken Greek pot and identifying Greek myths in art.

The main learning objectives for this workshop are:

  • To learn about the legacy of Ancient Greek culture
  • To identify different forms of Greek art and architecture
